- Decide on your budget
If you want to buy a brand new PC, it is recommended that you have at least $300 dedicated to buying the components and the parts of the PC. That budget, however, will only allow a basic computer system that is not capable of running the graphical intensive AAA games.
If you want enjoyable framerates in modern video games, you will need to increase your budget to $400 up to $600. Meanwhile, if you are into 4K gaming or VR, you will need to shell out $700 up to $1000. This is why it is important that you first determine what games you will play. If you will only play simple games, it is not recommended on spending a fortune on computer components that will probably not be used to their full potential anyway.
- Be sure to buy all of these parts
Before you can have a gaming PC, you will need the following:
- Dedicated Graphic Card
- RAM Sticks
- Power Supply Unit
- PC Case
- Cooling System
- Thermal paste
That is all of the important PC parts, components, and accessories that you will need in order to start playing. For storage, it is recommended that you have both HDD and SSD drives. SSD drive is faster, so you will want to install your Operating System on that disk. HDDs are slower but tend to be cheaper than SSD, so use it to save data that you are not accessing that much (like videos, photos, and other files.) For cooling system, you can choose between water based or fan based cooling.
